James is Head of Real Estate Origination at Pension Insurance Corporation (PIC), a specialist insurer of UK defined benefit pension schemes with a c£50bn portfolio. James has over 20 years of financial services, capital markets and investment management experience. Prior to PIC, James was Head of Residential at Schroder Real Estate Investment Management, the FTSE100 listed Investment manager. Over the past five years PIC has made significant investments into Build-to-Rent, Long Income and Affordable Housing. James leads the insurer’s real estate teams, establishing PIC as a leading participant in the annuity grade investment market. The team have delivered a number of high-profile transactions including the purchase of 2, Ruskin Square (Croydon) let to HM Home Office, the Millars Quay income strip at Wirral Waters in partnership with Peel L&P, Ebb & Flow (Reading) c£200m BtR development and the HABIKO Joint Venture between PIC, Muse and Homes England.
